The Albuquerque SANE Collaborative serves sexual assault and domestic violence victims by providing immediate, compassionate, culturally sensitive and comprehensive medical treatmen and forensic evaluation by nurse experts.

Specially trainined nurses provide medical and forensic services to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Services are offered in a private comfortable location, are totally confidential and totally free. Reporting to law enforcement is not necessary to receive our services.

Albuquerque Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) Collaborative was founded in 1996. The purpose for our organization is to provide an alternative to seeking services in a hospital environment where waiting times are long, the environment is hectic and the full scope of needs of a survivor of sexual assault or domestic violence are not met. At our unit, we only serve individuals (women, children and men) who have been victims of interpersonal violence.
